Go on, test it.
You think you know me,
But you have yet to even ask me,
To look deeper into who I am.
You judge me,
Yet you fear what you may find inside me.
So you hide and run off,
As if I'm worthless,
Not a moment of time to be spent on me.
Unwilling to look deeper,
You leave me lonely.
You let me go,
Like I have nothing of value for you to learn from,
For you to know.
Who are you?
Who do you think you are that you can't seem to take one minute,
To look at the face of who I have become,
And judge who I am,
If I'm worth the time and energy to get to know.
How will you ever know?
If you are unwilling to dig deep inside your soul,
To see my soul.
Do you even want to know?
I mean, you're the one who made the call.
Maybe you aren't worth it?
Maybe this moment was a blessing in disguise,
To see how far you'd go,
To look beneath the disguise.
Perhaps it's time, for me to show myself.
To share with the world, what I know.
Of how I've come to find myself,
And just how much I have grown.
And maybe you'll finally see,
Becuase I'll be speaking the only way you know,
Since numbers are the only way you value yourself,
I'll show you the truth and reflection of what I've found in myself.
And then maybe, you'll see what you were willing to let go,
Just because you weren't willing to look inside your soul.
Funny, I know.
You tested my limits,
And now you know.
I'm worth far more than your weight in gold.
