Inspired by watching this TV Show, American Ninja Warrior. These women and men are so powerful, they move with agility and problem solve while jumping through hoops and leaping up walls, it reminds me of one of my dear friends P. Like seriously, they've got balls and so does she, she's a trailblazer and is the epitome of strength fully embodied! While some will make it and some don't, over the obstacles that are brought forth in life, each of the examples I've seen in life, have gone to battle, the obstacles seen, with a smile and a spirit that seriously goes at it strong! It's remarkable.
A few years back I was in a difficult spot in my life, I was struggling with my mind and what was happening throughout that time. I was feeling confused and upset about not knowing what to do. I kept asking the universe how life got this way and what I was to do! I was working with one of my teacher's in New York at the time, during a period that was around a peak in my awakening mind.
I worked with him often, just about every month at that time and we looked deeply at everything that came up, he taught me so much. One day he mentioned to me that I should read this book, The Power of The Subconscious Mind, by Joseph Murphy. It talks a lot about what lays deep within your subconscious beliefs, those little things that lay hidden underneath the surface of the skin, that you bury deep within.
Well, that book helped me transforms some thoughts and worked me through that rough spot. And as it did I held onto one thought really strongly, that Joseph wrote, I even had it written on my chalkboard for about 3 months. I had a wall where I would write everything that inspired me behind my desk at that time. It was a great way to keep tuned in, as you are going through rapid movement through the mind.
That ONE thought that always held on strong, was the quote:
"Know what you want, and be willing to do whatever it takes to achieve it." - JM
What clarity! Just like these American Ninja Warriors, I had to face the course I was on with absolute certainty. I visualized the place I wanted to go, the place in life that left me feeling inspired and excited to be and I had to set the course of challenges no matter what it took and no matter at what speed, I was determined to "win the race". I kept on pushing through each day, looking for that "higher place". As I focused each and every day on working diligently day in and day out, to stay focused on what I wanted, I knew that meant I'd only be "digging dirt" for a short spurt.
Realizing that not everything in life is meant to come along that easily, because if it did, how would we recognize it. You see, that's the benefit of knowing that it can, that when it doesn't come super quick, you know there is much more to it. There are deeper lessons to be learned from it.
The trick of the game is.... to keep your head in the game and focused on what you want in the "end", understand the path ahead and be willing to do whatever it takes to achieve that lesson, even if that means come back round and round to it. That means, waking up when you don't want to so much, or saying no to things you love so much, or facing fears you never dreamed of facing or living in places that make you cringe. There's always a lesson within it. And the easiest path to move beyond it, is to recognize there is a lesson within it.
Sometimes to reach our biggest dreams, we must first face these "little things", the nagging things, the things that usually get us angry and frustrated enough to simply give up. But instead, don't.
So, if life has been feeling a bit rough lately, or has you feeling like you've been working real hard with no pay off for all the work you've been doing, remember that there is more to this life than this, that you can overcome any obstacle you are given. Your soul would never offer it to you, if they didn't feel confident you could work through it. That there is a time coming and it's not so far away at all, that you will see that the path you've been paving is leading you exactly to the moment you've been seeking. So, remember that its all about the attitude you use, if you keep tuned into the positive groove, that life you're working through will give and give and give to you. As a part of a sign of gratitude.
Remember, there's no one else in this fight but you. So, stop battling the mind and the self and let love in. Remember that all that's negative, is merely a figure of your subconsciousness. It can be removed by flushing it with the positive. So stay strong and keep on pushing along. For every time you do, more light will shine through and at the end of the tunnel, you may find another rabbit or two. And who knows where they will lead you.
You may just find another dream you drew.
Keep on dreaming' on.
