A female artist from Ridgeville, Ontario, exploring the multidimensional nature of our existence through her immersive work in painting, writing, drawing, photography, sculpture and textiles.
As a multidisciplinary artist, I explore the intersection of art and spirituality, examining the multidimensional nature of our existence. My practice spans painting, writing, drawing, digital media, photography, sculpture, and textiles, focusing on their activation in space. Through a research-creation-based approach, I investigate themes of life, death, and creative intellect, delving into the transcendental, mystical, metaphysical, and meditative experiences that have profoundly shifted my perception of reality. I reflect on these experiences, channelling their meaning and vision, inviting others to find a sense of peace through engagement with my work.
My creative process transcribes my dream states, shamanic experiences, and kaleidoscopic visions, bringing thought into form and embodying energy into tangible experiences. Through my work, I aim to bridge the physical and non-physical aspects of reality, immersing the viewer in experiences that transcend the boundaries of time and space. By translating my visions into thought-provoking landscapes, I offer a framework for exploring multidimensional existence, providing space for introspection and peace.
Central to my practice is the transcribing of 'light language’—an intuitive, symbol-based form of communication believed to convey frequencies of energy and spiritual insight, illuminating the soul’s inner dimensions as it radiates from within. Entering a flow state, I navigate an expansive realm of violet ray light, seen through my mind’s eye. Here, visions form, and knowledge is revealed, guiding my exploration into the fabric of our multidimensional existence. This language serves as a bridge to communicate a deeper understanding and connection with the essence of life beyond known reality.
My art reveals the intricate balance between human experience and our multidimensional nature. By documenting my visionary experiences and inner dialogues with spirit, I uncover the infinite layers of consciousness that define and create meaning in our lives.
Through ritualistic living, I move fluidly between states of wakefulness and dreaming, integrating insights gained and translating them into artworks intended for healing and self-reflection.
After enduring a series of life-altering near-death experiences, I embarked on a profound journey of self-discovery, questioning my life’s purpose and seeking answers by engaging the metaphysical. This path led me to emerge as an artist, and I began to examine the 'Crystalline Structures' of our consciousness. Through this examination, I found that my visual works act as conduits for intuitive understanding and spiritual healing through ‘Daily Drawings’, communicating a sense of timelessness and a deep inner peace.
Ultimately, my practice invites audiences to step into a world beyond the physical and explore the essence of the human spirit and the many layers of our existence. Through my art, I aim to offer a space for reflection, healing, and a deeper connection to the mystical. My work is more than a visual experience; it is a portal into a deeper understanding of the self and the universal consciousness that weaves throughout the fabric of our realities.
While I began my career in 2008, working in event and exhibit design, I began emerging as an artist in 2019 when I presented my first public art exhibition, 'Crystalline Structures,' at the Art Gallery of Ontario. My work has been showcased in The Artist Project (2024), AGO Massive XV (2019), and as a finalist in Art Comp (2022). Recognitions include the Martha Zandvliet Memorial Award in Painting (2024), the Marilyn I. Walker Textile Art Award (2024), and the Medland and Green Inspiring Artists Bursary (2023).
